Okay, so most of the girls at my school (especially the freshmen, ew) will be store-bought skanks for Halloween. French maids, ‘sexy’ firefighters, ‘hot’ referees, and the like. Oh, how creative.

I’m trying to think of something cute, creative, and classy (as opposed to slutty, cliche, and even more slutty) and I have minimal ideas. Actually, only one:

Do you think this would make a good costume? Yes or no, any other ideas that most people wouldn’t think of? I don’t want to be yet another hippie, vampire, or pirate; I want to be out of the box.

Details: I am 15 years old, 5’6", 112 lbs, and in 10th grade, if that makes any differences to your answers.
ALSO: I have thought about being a southern belle, but would a big, old-fashioned dress just be too much?

Help me pick a character to be for Halloween!?

I am six feet tall and slender, female, short brown hair. I’m 16, going to my friends’ halloween party next saturday (halloween on a saturday!!) and I need help picking a costume! Someone suggested being Elizabeth Swann, as in the Pirates of the Carribean, but that costume is $60 and I realize that most adult costumes are equally expensive.

SO I want to use some stuff I already have, and that would be dresses. Or, if you have any ideas with a DIY costume, that is much appreciated. I’d like to be a female character from a movie or something, not just a general character (witch etc…) and I want to do something with fun make-up. So, anyone who is a *particular* ghost, zombie, witch, someone recognizable/specific/with a name that would be spooky and fun to dress up as.

Superhero sounds like a great idea! Are there any ideas out there for like a creepy/spooky/halloweeny super hero though?

I’d try for a superhero. There’s a list on wikipedia of female superheroes. A lot of them you could wear a dress, boots, and a belt and add a cape. She-ra is a good one (before your time, but big in the 80s). I was also Jem one year (also from the 80s, but totally awesome)…which would be a pink dress, silver belt, pink wig and pink star earrings (I made mine from cardboard when I was her)
