What would be a good couple Halloween costumes?

I have a birthday/halloween party this saturday. It’s my friend Scott and we are all in band. And well…i don’t want to be anything like really showy and my boyfriend wants to come and he doesn’t have a costumes..(because we all know how expensive they are now)..and i wanted to create our costumes. So do you have any ideas? i want something unique that because there is a contest.
